KRISTIN STEPHENS: CHILDBIRTH EDUCATOR & LABOR DOULA
I did not always have my heart set on becoming a doula and childbirth educator. In fact, until my second pregnancy I did not even know doulas existed. I have a degree in Merchandise Marketing and began my career in retail, wholesale, and product development in the corporate world.
After the care I received from my midwife when I had my second baby, I knew that I wanted to support women in the very same way.
I feel that our culture and society has diminished the value of birth and the process. God has chosen women to bring forth life. Birth is not just another moment in time but a moment where miracles happen. Women are becoming mothers, men are becoming fathers, families are growing, and a new life is being born. My heart is for women to be educated, supported, and for their birth experiences to be cherished.
I live in Rockwall/ Fate and my husband and I serve on staff at The Lakes Assembly. I am passionate about ministry and sharing the truth of Jesus. We have three beautiful children. Every hour is coffee hour and I love to craft and make new things. When we are able our family loves to travel, camp, and hike.
